After a week of temperatures creeping past the 100-degree mark, an
afternoon downpour cooled things off a bit in time for the first night
of the 98th Annual St. Joseph School Bazaar.
On paper, it’s the largest monetary expansion in the history of Conway
Regional Health System with 85,000 square feet to be constructed at a
projected price tag of $32 million.
Organizers of the Conway Fall Classic Bike Tour are officially welcoming
cyclists of all ages and skill levels to begin registering for the
Saturday, Sept. 18, event.
The second annual Conway Fall Classic includes routes of 29 and 52 miles
which begin at 8:30 a.m. An eight mile community ride (sponsored by
Smith Ford) leaves at 9 a.m. All rides begin and end at Simon Park in
Downtown Conway.
Conway Regional Medical Center has received two grants for more than
$52,000 from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Arkansas Affiliate for
programs that fight cancer.
University of Arkansas System President Dr. B. Alan Sugg has appointed Dr. Larry D. Davis as the next chancellor of the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM).
